The Somali Progressive Association (SPA) is a registered charity, and is a community based non-profit making Association.

The SPA is a governed by a Board of Trustees that make up the management committee, elected from the local community.

The Somali Advice and Information Office was established in May 1988 to address the specific and complex needs of the Somali Population in Cardiff.
